Introduction

Who Am I?

First let me say thank you for visiting my page! I wanted to create this post as a little background to who I am so you understand where my future posts come from.

My name is Amanda and I am a 5th generation farmer here on my family's small farm.  I am a wife, mother of 3 boys, a homeschooler, an Executive Director, and I am involved in my local community.  I would describe myself as someone who relies on faith, family, and farming to get me through my days.  I enjoy what I do and I would not be who I am without the support of my husband, family, my kids, and all my wonderful friends/volunteers.  I was recently named the PA Farm Bureau's Outstanding Woman in Ag which is an award I feel I would never have wanted to strive for without my grandpa and his passion for farming and the community.  I view my life as one big hot mess, but some people tell me I am so organized and seem to have my stuff together.  I guess they have never really looked at my desk! I love bringing the farm into the schools and the schools to the farm.  I feel that modern day farming has changed so much and the stereotypes no longer exist between the man being the farmer and the woman being the homemaker.  Women are making strides in the Agricultural world and so with that I wanted to show you the world of Agriculture through a woman's eyes, my eyes.  The future writings are mine and how I handle the world of Agriculture, family, homeschooling, and more all while managing a small non-profit with equines and a family farming operation.

My guys are my world and they are the future of farming!
